The Common Honey Locust Tree is an excellent lawn tree for providing filtered shade. This tree can reach heights between 30 to 70 feet.

Soil Type: Prefers rich, moist bottomlands and limestone soils, salt tolerant and tolerant of drought conditions.

Zones: 4 to 9

Stratification Requirement: Seeds should be scarified in concentrated sulfuric acid for 1 to 2 hours.
